My chaco golden knee just been acting aggresively and nervous these days and when i open its enclo. it showed me a defensive stance and ready to strike is it possible for them to have mood swings like that of a g.rosea? because i heard that they are not agresive at all  |

not all t's that are label dosile are all dosile..it's just the majority of that sps. and esp. in there mature state and in there territory they will show abit of aggressiveness..hth

that would be defensive than aggresive. but what matt says. might be territorial tendencies, and every T has their own attitude..generally speaking those sp. are docile though.

i think may indi amo ni sa iya nga enclo nga di mauyunan sang T ya. lately wala ko gd nakita nga nag stay sa substrate ara lng pirmi either sa side or sa lid sang enclo. siguro d same reason man nga ga defensive xa lately ay? does unfavorable housing conditions, etc lead to bad temperament?

pwede man na nga reasons..pila na ka days or weeks na sya gastay sa enclosure aw or sang last na rehouse mo sya?? kay for example sa akon nakita kag na experience docile man guid tuod ang chaco..sang nagkadto ko kanday Mr. Biene balay hambal yah ang iya lang chaco ang ma pinch grab yah halin sa enclosure and he did do that.

in my own experience if daw tao man bala.. uncomfortable=stress=bad mood=painit ulo= tinapungolay..hehehehe  joking aside i hope you get my point heheh |

I guess and theory ni Ace is right.. they're not really aggressive, they're just being defensive for possible threat sa ila.. cuz I was able to handle my L.Klugi na permi lng ga stance kung i-open ko ang enclo. pero once ara na cya sa gua sng enclosure.. daw wla nman cla ga stance.. same goes with my A.Geniculata..

I just want to add.. even though I was able to handle them.. It is way too risky namn cuz handling tarantula's would either harm your pet or yourself.. and I saw in one of the forum that if you want to handle these tarantulas you are already willing to take the risk of whatever may happen..
