please be advice that we will have an urgent meeting regarding the selenobrachys philippinus (negros orange tarantula) since this is only endemic to Negros Forest the risk of over collection is possible. some of the BEE members here are concern that the tarantula will become a distant memory in the future... topics to be discussed: - hunting/collection rules
- declaration of the specie in your collection(for breeding purposes)
- breeding projects/efforts
- distribution and control of the species
- proper care
- making of a proper care sheet for this species
let us not take forget the mission and vision of BEE, the which is to preserve our very own fauna... trivia: during my early college years maybe 5-6 years ago i got my first tarantula avicularia avicularia (pink toe) i researched a lot about tarantulas..here's what i found the brachyphelma smithi (mexican red knee) during that time were all wild caught and with that it became endangered and was illegal to keep except for the ones who had them already, with the efforts of some communities and group now the MEXICAN RED KNEE is very common in the industry right now.. SO let us be the one's who will start the revolution on breeding this beautiful and one of a kind tarantula
