Congrats sa inyo tanan... successful na kaayo ang grupo kag naga baskog pa guid. Na overwhelm lang ko sa kadasig pagdamo sang interesado sa exotics sa Bacolod. I am very proud.

Purpose of this thread:
I know kita tanan halos nakabalo nga ang Philippine Orange endemic lang da sa aton sa Negros... Tani maproteksyonan
naton kag macontrol ang pag panguha sini.
Damo na kaayo interesado nga mga hobbyist all over the country
and even international nga makakuha sini.

Tani may mahimo ta about this species mga later mapabugal naton tanan.

1.) Kon mag post ta sa any thread basi pwede indi lang naton
ibutang and specific location kun diin naton nakuha ang
species. Para indi mahibal-an ang concentration.

as a suggestion to this....mas maayo kng mag set kamo rules sa hunting..maybe the dos and donts....importante ni sya kaayo mga sir....para gid ni sa future sa hobby......

let us put in mind and consider that the orange t is one of the jewels cni na hobby...lets not forget the value of it...

we are blessed here na kita ang pinakalapit sa specie....i know damo na ang ga collect cni...and for a certain reasons...kng di naton ni pag i control ang hunting...basi kita pila ka adlaw mabudlayan na mangita cni..



we can set a hunting rules para ma control...

i can contribute and help....buligay lng ta..

2.)Know the Purpose why we do hunting. As a suggestion, lets do it for Documentation. We hunt to document, study the specie...the bahavior, the habitat, the caresheet etc. In some way, this will help or educate us na mga hobbyists.

as of know i have pairs sang s. philipinus and have 3 more egg sack and will be breeding the adult females to the adult males as soon as the male creates it's sperm web..anyway with the bunch of eggs coming and with the experiences i learn hopefully this would start a breeding program from this captive hatch s. philipinus..so being a CH sling they will be accustomed to the captive life..and hopefully could get them also to breed in captivity.

Great ideas my fellow hobbyist. para ni sa aton tanan gid. i support this idea! Overwhelming gid ni nga news para sa national and international hobbyist nga maka captive hatch and captive breed sini nga species. And hopefully ang sa wild laka laka-on ta hunting para madamu gid sila. :-)

anyway, sir indi gid na mapunggan ang hunting...kng may iban na na plano...and its so clear y they hunt orange ts, not for the hobby na....ang i know the reason...

example....wud u trade an orange t...adult...to a b.smithi sling?..

or export orange ts?...for wat?

i hope maka realize cla...that this is for the hobby and not for business...

so ang aton mabulig cni kay advice nlng...

so kng mag hunt man gani in a certain area, indi ta pag cgecgehun...kay paano na cla magdamo kng kada simana or bulan tada mag hunt?..

and never take specie na below 1" ang size or never take gravid specie...

and for the production, indi ta pag ubuson ang tanan na adults kag i baligya or i trade...ano nlng ang mabilin sa wild cna?..


its better to get apair of it and amo to ang aton i breed and if ever mag hatch, amo to aton ibaligya..in that way, maka learn ang gain ta experience or maka document pata about sa specie....daw ano bla na achievement na "for sale Captive breed Selenobrachys philippinus"..

Ang mahimo sang nag hunt is to capture ONLY a pair and then from their observe the behavior and its breeding habits by doing so you already have a caresheet to share sa tanan and then preserving our beloved orange T. Chakto man?

Since kita lang ang may hilig sini nga hobby, kita lang ang may idea about phil orange. So hobbyist lang ang most possible nga mang hunt. That is why within us let us make it as our rule na
ang aton i hunt is only for our consumption and not for making money.
I prevent naton nga makabalo ang indi taga aton nga makabalo kun diin ang concentration sang mga species.

Wala pa sang may detailed mga research about phil orange. Basi
ang BEE palang ang makahimo.
